Study modes & review flow

Good Good Study Card offers four study modes plus a global board, covering everything from “what’s due today” to “how am I doing overall”.

The four study modes

  • Deck study: review the cards due today in one deck — the everyday mode
  • Global due cards: tap the bell in the top bar to review today’s due cards across all decks
  • Favorites: review favorited cards (including not-yet-due ones) — great for a pre-exam pass
  • Single card: start studying any card straight from its detail view

The review flow and ratings

After flipping the card, four ratings decide when it returns:

RatingMeaningNext interval (defaults)
AgainCouldn’t recallrelearn in 10 minutes
HardRecalled with effortlast interval × 1.2
GoodRecalled normallylast interval × 2.5
EasyInstant recalllast interval × 3.0

A new card’s first rating produces fixed intervals: Hard 1 d, Good 1 d, Easy 3 d. Day counts truncate to whole days, and every parameter is customizable in Settings → Algorithm.

Gestures & hotkeys

  • Swipe: in review, swipe left = Again, swipe right = Easy
  • Shake to flip: enable in settings, then shake the phone to flip the card
  • Keyboard shortcuts (with a hardware keyboard): Space = flip, 14 = rate, Enter = Good, Esc = exit
  • Fullscreen: pinch to zoom card details (0.5–3×), double-tap to reset

The Board

The Board splits your whole library into three lanes: New / Learning / Mastered. Mastery can be set manually or maintained by the algorithm from your review performance — it’s the fastest way to see overall progress.

During a session, the menu lets you edit, delete, or move the current card, mark it mastered, favorite it, reset it to new, or inspect its review history.
