Privacy Policy

Good Good Study Card (“the app”) and its website take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the app and website collect or process, and where it lives.

It applies to:

  • This website (ggsc.codepromax.cn)
  • The app on Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS

App data: local by default

All of your study data — decks, cards, images, review history, study sessions, and reminders — is stored locally on your device by default. Using the app requires no account, and we operate no central server that receives your study data.

Optional cloud capabilities per platform are off by default and enabled only by you:

  • iOS: you may enable iCloud sync. Data syncs between your devices through your own iCloud account, encrypted; we cannot access its contents. iCloud use is governed by Apple’s terms.
  • HarmonyOS: you may use HUAWEI Cloud backup. .ggsbak snapshots are stored in HUAWEI Cloud via your own HUAWEI ID; we cannot access their contents.
  • Android: no cloud sync. Backups are local .ggsbak files you manage yourself.

App permissions

The app requests permissions only when the matching feature needs them:

  • Notifications: study and backup reminders
  • Photos / Camera: attaching images to cards
  • Calendar (optional): writing per-card reminders into the system calendar

Website data

This website is static: no sign-in, no trackers, no advertising analytics.

  • Server logs: the web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamps, requested pages, browser user agent) for security and troubleshooting.
  • Information you submit: if a future sharing feature launches, the email address you submit will be used only for identity confirmation and review notifications — never displayed publicly or shared with third parties.

Retention & deletion

  • On-device data: removed when you uninstall the app; recycle-bin content is purged when its retention window expires.
  • iCloud / HUAWEI Cloud data: managed by you under your Apple ID / HUAWEI account system settings.
  • Server logs: rotated and deleted per standard operations practice.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here with a new “last updated” date.
